About us

The desire to be heard led to the birth of Seasick.

Seasick is a Filipino pop-punk quintet formed in December 2019, composed of individuals whom each come from far-flung cities that forming a band seems a bit impossible. Raf Sanandres (vocalist) hails from Quezon City, Jigson Villanueva (guitarist) and Beet Ponciano (drummer) beats their way from Bulacan, Lex Agnazata (bassist) from Santa Rosa while Ian Balagtas (guitarist) come all the way from Los Baños.

The band first gained attention when they released their debut single. "Runaway" on February 21, 2020, then the COVID-19 pandemic started and the band never had the chance to play shows after the first 2 shows they had under Purple Cat Events x Lost Hearts Club; Bridges at Tomato Kick, QC, and Gold Steps Production; At Last Farewell's Lucid MV Launch.

Then on June 1, 2020, the band released a reimagined rendition of their debut single and attracted new listeners who love chill and mellow music.

On October 15, 2020, the band released their 2nd single titled "Smile", which musically had a different vibe from their debut single, the song centers around the heavy guitar riffs that blend in elements from easy-core and pop-punk.

On February 27, 2021, the band released their latest single "Worth It", which sounds lighter and has a more pop-punk-ish sound. The song is about someone who's dealing with self-worth and planning to premiere its music video by March 2021.

On June 04, 2021, the band released "Roses", under the Therapy Sessions Album along with the bands who are part of These Kids Collective.
